Terms of Service

1. What this service is

MockOSCE (“the Service”), available at mockosce.com, is operated by Small Business Elevate LLC, a limited liability company formed in the United States (“we”, “the operator”). The Service is an educational tool that lets you practise clinical consultations with AI-simulated patients and receive practice scores against PLAB-2-style marking rubrics. It is independent exam-preparation material and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the General Medical Council (GMC), the NHS, or any exam-preparation provider.

2. Not medical advice, not a guarantee

The Service is for educational practice only. Its content, AI-generated patients, and AI-generated scores do not constitute medical advice and must never be used to make decisions about real patient care. Practice scores are indicative only and are not a prediction or guarantee of your performance in the real PLAB 2 examination or any other assessment.

3. Eligibility and access

The Service is offered as an open free beta. You must be at least 18 years old to use it. You may register one account per person, must sign in with your own account, and must not share access or attempt to circumvent access controls or usage limits.

4. Beta status and future pricing

The Service is currently free to use within fair-usage allowances (for example, a limited number of practice stations, voice sessions and daily messages per account). We may change these allowances at any time with reasonable notice inside the app. A paid tier (for example, unlimited stations and live voice practice) is planned; nothing is sold today, and no payment can be taken through the Service. Free-beta usage does not create any entitlement to future free access.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the Service, including: attempting to extract the underlying content in bulk, reverse-engineering the system, uploading unlawful content, or using the Service in any way that disrupts it or infringes others’ rights. Consultations are role-play with fictional patients — do not enter real patient-identifiable information or any real person’s medical details.

6. AI-generated content

Stations, consultations and scoring are generated by third-party AI models from publicly available clinical reference sources — NHS.UK content under the Open Government Licence v3.0 and the public format of the GMC’s PLAB 2 examination — together with original authoring. This AI-generated content has not been reviewed, vetted or endorsed by a doctor or any medical body, and may be inaccurate, incomplete, or inconsistent. You are responsible for applying your own clinical judgement and for verifying any clinical information against authoritative sources.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, its design and its original content are owned by the operator. Clinical reference information adapted from NHS.UK is used under the Open Government Licence v3.0. “PLAB” is a trademark of the GMC, used here only descriptively to identify the examination this tool helps you prepare for.

8. Disclaimers and liability

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for any loss arising from your use of, or reliance on, the Service.

9. Changes and governing law

We may update these terms from time to time; continued use means you accept the changes. These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.

10. Contact
